In order to achieve more effectively the objectives of this Treaty, the Parties, individually and collectively, through continuous and effective self-help and mutual assistance, shall maintain and develop their individual and collective capacity to resist armed attacks. Each Party declares that none of the international obligations currently in force between it and any other Party or a third country conflicts with the provisions of this Treaty and undertakes not to enter into any international commitment contrary to this Treaty.
